Personal associations to explore

The snake is among the culturally and symbolically richest dream images. Depending on context it can carry entirely different meanings: in Western traditions it often represents danger, temptation, or hidden threats. In Eastern and shamanic traditions it symbolises healing, wisdom, and transformation.

A shedding snake stands for personal renewal and releasing old patterns. A biting snake can point to a situation being ignored in waking life that is demanding attention.

Colour also plays a role: green snakes often represent growth and nature, black snakes the unconscious, gold snakes wisdom and spirituality.
